Beard Transplant

Beard transplant is a new technique in the world of hair transplantation based on transplanting the bulbs of the hair from the back of the head to the jawline to give a manly look to the face. This technique has become one of the most used ways extensively in the field of aesthetic medicine.

This technique is used to:

• cover scars or burns on the jawline.

• restore the growth of the beard hair

• Fill in the thin areas and the gaps at the level of the chin

How is it done?

There are two popular used techniques for beard transplant:

FUE technique: FUE technique is a painless method based on extracting entire follicular units from the donor area at the same time instead of extracting the bulbs one by one.

Using a punch tool, the surgeon will extract full follicular units and replace them with the recipient area.

FUT Technique: It is also called the strip method, before transplanting the hair follicles, the surgeon takes a strip of skin from the back of the donor area where the hair is strongest and sutures the incision. After that, the doctor divides it into distinct parts for transplantation and places it in 0.5mm incisions and stitches.

Both of these techniques will be done under local anesthesia.

The results:

You will notice the diffidence and see the results after 3 months. You should anticipate witnessing lengthy growth and positive effects after the transplanted units start producing new hair.

Aftercare:

Just like a hair transplant, you need to avoid a few dangerous acts to see good results:

Make sure to avoid any rubbing or scratching during the first weeks.

Going out under the sun

Avoid playing sports for a while
